Barn door to tailgate swap

Hi, Does anyone know if your suburban came with barn doors, can you install a tailgate and hatch without any modifications. Any info would be great.

Re: Barn door to tailgate swap

Yes you can. Most of the mounting holes and threads are there. The one problem I have found in doing the swap is getting the drivers side tailgate hinge mounted. To not damage the back panel you either have to remove it or loosen the body mount and gently jack up that corner. It is really a matter of 1/4 inch clearance.
make sure you get every bracket, bolts, hinges and slides.
Pull the rubber plugs and look underneath
