Hey Porter I was thinking of running the step notch like that, but I was hesitant because I thought that it would be better to just build the notch back area (strenght wise). Would you put the rear of the notch outside frame rails on another truck or just built a notch back area?

I debated building frame-rails straight off the back, but thought I would try this way and see how it went. I think it will turn out nice this way, and make tank and bed mounting less trouble... we'll have to see! As for doing it like this in the future... it's a toss up.
