Dim lights in '66 Stepside

Hi all,
I have noticed that the brake lamps in my C10 stepside are very very dim, even after replacing the bulbs. I went ahead and bought a new set of lamps (they needed replacing anyway), but I suspect that the problem might be due to a bad ground.
I was wondering if anyone could give some tips or instruction on how to correctly ground the wires for this?
Thanks

Jon

It is probably a bad ground, make sure that the ground for the liscence plate light is correctly grounded, mine did the exact same thing and that was the solutuion.
