Post brake pedal return spring

i just did the power and front disc convertion on my 69' c-10 and am having a problem with the brake pedal not returning with the vacumm hooked up to the booster, it returns fine with out the booster in play. we replaced the booster already and had no luck. the brakes work fine just the pedal does not return, how can i tell if the return spring is strong enough? i am thinking that could be a possible problem.

if its ocnnected correctly under there then it should be fine, i highly doubt it could weaken up sp much thaty it wouldnt do its job. whats the exact problem ? is it coming back up and stoping at a certain point or is the pedal rod too short and needs to be adjusted, or ?

the exact problem is that with the booster hooked up the brake pedal stays wherever you put it, push it in, pull it out, all the way/halfway whatever. the brakes work exactly like the pedal is positioned.

I had the exact same problem a while back. My problem was that the bolt and nut that goes through the pedal was binding up. I loosened the nut a little, and it worked fine.
