Yeah John the project looks really nice. I like the Von Dutch Idea as long as you don't go overboard. I think your wheels are cool just like they are the only thing I might change is some centers that just cover the grease cap and have the three legged knock-offs.

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....

Since I don't ever look in this section of the board, I'm way late in seeing this build.

Very Nice

Question for you - How are you mending up you Fuel and brake lines? What tool do you use, and could you show the process you use? I see a bunch of Sharpie marks on the lines. I do mine similar, but want to see if there is maybe a better way. - Basically I'm asking because I see on most of your bends that you have 2 marks on the line instead of just 1, and am curious as to what and how your doing that.

Thanks,
Andy

Well I used a line-bender from MATCO. Basically it has alignment marks on the handle. You measure from the start to where you want your first bend....say you want to bend a 90 right at the firewall or something. You measure distance, then use the reference marks on the handle to come up with the starting point of the bend. Worked for me....didn't even waste any line.

I use this bender before in the trunk of my buddys Cadillac to hardline some hydraulics.

Would you like a pic of the bender ??

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....

Yeh I'd like to see it as well. I've been using a couple differant ones. One from Eastwood - that doesn't have any marks on it.

The one that I really like is from "Imperial Eastman" which has the marks on it.

I just didn't understand why you had 2 black marks - one @ the beginning and end of the bend. I was curious as to the theory behind that.

Like I said, Those marks are the reference/measure marks to be used with the bender.....

hey chief, I know this is off your subject, but do you have any pics of your hopper? I know that there is alot of haters on lowriders, but to me all car and truck projects share something in common. (and their builders)

My hopper was built years ago....before I even thought about pictures.

Back in the late 80's-early 90's, It was a 76 Cutless...big ass boat, got off though.

I do however have pics and links to some of my work....

Thats a nice monte! A freind of mine in the local westside lowriders club hops a bright pink monte, the same style as yours.
