Van tilt column vs. truck

I think that they are a little different but they will work. Am I wrong? Will a van column work in a 71 and if so do you have to rig anything? Also what is the difference between them?

It will work with a few mods. This is one of them:

You will also probably need an adaptor plug that goes from straight to horseshoe. And you will need to collapse the intermediate shaft to fit.
