Question 75 Blazer upgrade to pwr windows? Remove paint from top?

Greetings, can I switch out door guts, or the doors themselves in order to improve to a power window set up for my 75 Blazer? How about upgrading the tailgate to power roll window?

Secondly, what experience has anyone had removing paint from a Blazer top and restoring it to it's original white Patina surface?

Thanks, Greg.

1 of 3 questions -
I got lucky and found a Burban at PickurPart that had electric rear window. Got the switch, wire harness, motor, cable and adjusters for $10. Works great, motor mounts were already there. (1985)

If you are using factory GM guts, they won't bolt up. That is the difference in the 73-76 doors to the 77-91 doors; where the power window motors mount.

Captkaos, regarding the doors, are you suggesting that power windows were an option in 1975, and that they are different after 77? If so, I could chase down a 73-73 Blazer with power windows.... sounds like a remote chance of finding that, but worth a shot!

85K5, I think the tailgate door may be different for 77 and later, but I'll hunt for a 73-75 tailgate with power, I'm just not sure it was offered.

Thanks for the responses!

No, I am saying only trucks made AFTER 1977 had power accessories. No 73-76 trucks had power accessories. You have to find a truck after 1976 to get power. If you want a power back window, you need to look for the same.....
