Posi!!

Today i was spinning my wheels for some reason, and i saw that i have a locking diff . I counted the gears they are 4.25, what is this diff good for? hard acceleration? highway? cruising?

4.25 seems pretty low. Not good for highway. I've never heard of it. I'm sure the gurus will chime in....

425? dam... torquer.. never heard of it either... but u wont be puttin many highway miles on it with that... you outta be able to pull up some stumps, or fords out of mudholes and thats about it.

I have 4:11 in my 63. LOVE IT! It hooks up and moves at any speed. I am rolling on 24 inch rims too.

4.11, posi. That's more like it. Cool... That's a fun gear to do burnouts and jump off the line with or cruising around town, but unless you have overdrive or big wheels like yolo, you'll be hitting some high RPM's at highway speeds.

was thinking of doin a 6.0 vortec with trans swap into it , so highway shouldent be that bad right?
