What is wrong with GQ for you to trash it? If you still have it how much are you looking to get for it?

Re: RIP - 1972 4wd CST Blazer (aka "GQ")

Nothing was wrong with "GQ" I just wanted a 2wd
more than a 4wd. I had over $20K in "GQ" and that
was without paint. I tried to sell it for almost a yr.

I bought "Merlot" cause I was going to sell "GQ" &
then found a 2wd frame out of FL. So now instead
of fixing up "Merlot" I am making "GQ" into a 2wd.

Sounds like a good plan and a Yenko 427(HP) should be a good starting point!

Kevin,

It's really a 350 SBC, maybe you already knew that,
but since the spec's on it is right around 427 I said
I was going to run with it I just need a few more
things gone so the parts ordering frenzy can begin

Yep! That was the reason for the H.P. and not a C.I.

BTW, We used your 1-man CAB and BED lift to remove the
tub. All I got to say is you are way underappreciated. That
thing needs to be marketed globally with a patent on it

Thanks, How was the balance? Did the engine hoist do it all or did you have to have more for the job? I have not pulled my tub yet.
I don't know what I would do with out mine. My back is shot but this still lets me do everything I need to.

Re: RIP - 1972 4wd CST Blazer (aka "GQ")

Balance was pretty good, a stripped tub would have
been better. Mine was as you see it in the pic's over
in the TN region of the CGTIC section on main forum.
I had alot of help and it was supper easy to do. That
thing is worth the investment to anyone restoring.

If I still have it when you come down in July, Yes.

(No sense in even trying to ship all of that stuff)
