Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator? My truck had a similar issue and that was the problem. It's located on the driver's side of the engine and has a vacuum hose hooked to it. Pull off the hose (with the engine off) and if any gas drips out, it needs to be replaced. Just a thought and is easy to test.

Mine did that when it was fairly new; started OK when cold but not when warm. Turned out it was faulty injectors causing flooding. Just a thought.

Re: 02 silverado hard to start when warm

I had the same problem. See my earlier post. It was the press reg. Put a fuel press gauge on it and see what the press is. I just pressed in the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and nothing sprayed out. I'm not sure, so you better check with the manual, but I think the press should be about 60 psi. Also, when I pulled the vacuum line, gas ran out. Replaced the press reg and it has been running fine now for 2 months.
