1947 Body question

I have a complete chassis off a 3100 that I did a complete rebuild on and it's ready to go. I'm looking for a body to drop on top, i have found a really good 1947 /3/4 ton or 3600 I wanted to know if there are any differnces other than the bed. I know the 3100 had a 6.5ft bed and i believe the 3600 had a 7ft bed so could I just put a short bed on this and drop in on the 3100 frame? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

As far as I know the cabs are the same. 48 also has the same cab while 49 went to two rear cab mounts and the gas tank was put inside the cab.

Re: 1947 Body question

Except for the COE, 1/2 to 2 ton AD trucks used the same cab shell. Fenders, grill, hood and bumpers are the same size for 1/2, 3/4 & 1 ton.
