wanted 8 inch stock wheels

I am looking for some 15x 8 regular hubcap style wheels. No rallys. I have a set of rallys ready to go and some TT2s on my truck right know. Who makes a reproduction wheel that would match some stock ones that i already have. I have the original style 15 x 8 6 luggers. But i need 5 luggers. Let me know please. I will take some used ones if they are out there. Thanks

Re: wanted 8 inch stock wheels

So you have some 15X8 6 lug wheels that accept the stock dogdish hubcaps? If you don't have a use for them I've been looking for them and would like to make a deal. PM me.

Re: wanted 8 inch stock wheels

Maybe there`s a shop near you that does wheel work, like or race cars.I believe it`s member thelonerife that is going at making his own. He`s taking the rims from 8" rallyes and the centers from a stock wheel to make these.Send him a PM.

Re: wanted 8 inch stock wheels

I just picked up a set from Frank in WA, they are being powder coated this week.
They arn't the easiest things to locate.
They look sweet with dog dish caps....

Stockton Wheel's want $450 for a set raw unpainted, plus shipping... Ekkkk

Re: wanted 8 inch stock wheels

The 6-lugs are abundant compared to the 5-lug,since they were available on 4wds in later years, more aftermarket on 1/2t 4wds,and the military Blazers all had them.I have about $400 into mine w/powdercoat...Purchase w/shipping $125 & $65@ for blasting and powedercoat. Then, there`s the cost of the hubcaps. These aren`t the cheap way to go.I`d rather pay Stockton $450 and paint them for $20 than pay 1/2 that much or equal for one fancy wheel that`s temporarily in style and when you need a new one it won`t be available. These wheels last forever (virtually) and all you do is blast & paint when they start looking bad.If you get tired of them, you change the color, run w/o caps, change to other caps,or run full wheelcovers.

Re: wanted 8 inch stock wheels

At this time i do not want to sell my six lug wheels. I have 5-6 of them somewhere. I already had someone pm about my 6 luggers. I use to have a local guy that built them but he passed away. I will look for some else to do them or order 2 new ones.
Thanks for all the help.

Do those 67-68 hubcaps fit those wheels or do they need the wheels with clips? Thanks

No clips needed like the 50's trucks. The caps pop on, like m-mans pictures.

Oh the quest for the wheels that they should've made goes on. I think the market for these is small with the wheel fads that come and go. Nobody really wants a stock looking truck anymore. Just a few of us. I haven't done anything other than cut the centers out of mine.

Re: wanted 8 inch stock wheels

Ok, I gotta have a set now.
My local junkyard has me a set of 6 lug for $ 200.00, a little high.

My 4x4 will look killer with a set of 8" and the original hubcaps.
I have the white and orange cap that Mt. Man shows in his picture, but what did they do for the front hubcap oon 4x4s?

Did they even have a hub cap on 4x4s?

Also will these clear disc brakes on the front with 6 lug?
With 5 lug?

I ask because my orignal 6" 6 lug will not clear the disc brake caliper.

Mike

They came both ways. These nub-type will accept any dog dish cap for any fullsize car or truck built before wheel became so complicated.or instance,`60 Chevy car caps pop right on there.

No front caps until`69 on 4wds.You can cut them out.I`d pay the $200 for those wheels.$50 a wheel is cheaper than a white spoke wheel, which is the cheapest 8" wheel you`ll find new. It`s not like a used set of dull, nicked, and gouged aluminum wheels you`ll never find a mate to if one gets damaged.
