Re: RHS BBC Heads??

I have seen a few companies that use them and build some stout motors. I have only heard good stuff about RHS.

Re: RHS BBC Heads??

Thanks rip! I just keep seeing these ads everywhere and i didnt know whether they were legit or not. I'm thinking about getting a set for the big block because i don't wanna spend the extra money atm for brodix, dart, or afr. Still debating though.

Re: RHS BBC Heads??

Agreed....RHS makes great stuff. Pretty easy to squeeze 650hp out of a 454 with a set of their bbc heads.

Re: RHS BBC Heads??

swb you just put a big SEG on my face. I likes the 650hp. Didn't know CompCams made RHS. I think i'll try a set but it's gonna be awhile. I come back from Iraq in late June so . I just need something to make the ole pickup outrun my paw's camaro's. Doubt i can though. The 96 runs 6's in the 1/8 and the 79 runs low 7's. Maybe a little juice will get me there lol. Thanks for the help. Still open for more suggestions or advice.

Re: RHS BBC Heads??

Your sig says "Debating on building a 396" I would go with a 454 if you're wanting some go fast power. A 454 will make more torque which is what it takes to get a heavy truck moving. Top that with some RHS heads and as swb85 said, an easy 650hp.

Stay safe over there and thanks for your service

Re: RHS BBC Heads??

Are the RHS heads aluminum? If not You might want to look at the patriots. My buddy has a pretty stout 489 with patriot aluminum heads. On a truck you really need to lose that weight off the nose.

Be safe and thanks again for what you do.

Re: RHS BBC Heads??

Okay, i'll look around for some patriots also. I bought my wife a 50" TV, $1000 worth of clothes, and a necklace for christmas... all because i'll have something to hold against her when i get ready to build the 454 maybe she'll find it in her heart to let me go crazy but i doubt it

I would be interested to see the cam specs to compare to mine and see where I might end up.

Edit: As cast 320's?
