Old School Drag Racing..VIDEO

http://www.youtube.com/user/1991Ford.../1/5C_DxbJZ_ok

heres the deal.. my town..salina,kansas has car shows through out the summer.. but the one in july they have drag races to kick the show off then saturday and sunday is the show... so friday july 23,2010..we had some legalized drag races... i had my 72 there.. you will see in video.. the primered, green and white.. im against a 70 (has 72 grille on it) and a green 69 or 70.. it was a lot of fun and since it had our kinda trucks racing i figured it wouldnt break any rules... heres a bunch of old cars having some fun.. ENJOY

Cheers Tim, I enjoyed that looks it was a lighthearted event with the guys riding down the strip on bicycles.

Cool video..

Red vert looked like a Sunbeam Tiger. Would have been cool to see it line up with the slower of the two rails..

I'm pretty sure that first set of vehicles had the famed OK farm truck that runs low 10s when he wants too. Has his dog running shotgun.

Re: Old School Drag Racing..VIDEO

ya that would be the truck. the truck ran a 10.51 two weeks ago at pinks all out when i was there.. he gets his engine work done here in my town.. and i seen the truck there this week.. and i guess rumor has it that he blew his motor at pinks all out and was getting it rebuilt so im thinking he didnt wanna spray since he was breaking the new one in or something like that
