Re: Porterbuilt Stage II "Mild Drop Kit" for 63-72C10

Nate, will this kit work on my 71 c20 ? from what I understand the rear arms are different in size I want to drop/bag it with the 8 lug set up starting with the back end. Also Do you have anything for a c20 front end? Thanks,Tom

It sets just as low, but allows the use of factory trailing arms and factory trailing arm x-member.
Does the economy version still use the upper bag cup like what's shown on the delux kit?

Nope. the economy version does not include the upper bag cup (nor does it need them). The Stage2 comes standard with our 1" drop arms... NOT the 3" drop arms pictured. The upper cup is not used with the 1" drop arms either.

Re: Porterbuilt Stage II "Mild Drop Kit" for 63-72C10

Nate, I luv the looks of all the craftmanship on your previous stuff, but just dont want to do the bag thing just my opinion. BUT, like 68GMCCustom i am all in for the coilover front version when it is available "money in hand and waiting". That being said can the stage 2 mild drop for the rear be used or made to work for rear coilovers? This is so cool nate you are developing the type of suspension system ive been waiting on for a while now, coilovers all the way around, thanks.

I have heard that Nate has a lot of coil over kits in the works. See if he has one ready to fit your needs

Alright this is probably a stupid question but I'm gonna ask anyway.

Are your tubular trailing arms any stronger (stiffer) than the stock ones? I'm runnin a BBC 502 that has lots of torque and wouldn't mind having some stronger arms instead of the original ones.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Nate,

Were you able to get any pictures of a fleetside bed with this setup? I see the picture on the first page of the stepside. Just curious what ride height and drop height looks like on the non-drop member trucks. Keep up the good work. It all looks great!

Re: Porterbuilt Stage II "Mild Drop Kit" for 63-72C10

Nate,

Would the stage II front and rear kit hold up to the abuse of 600 hp? I love this stance and definitely want to go PB but need something that can take the abuse. I guess my question is whether the trailing arms would be a weak point or not? I would love a "mild" Dropmember for this setup,

thanks

No Dropmember here..... Porterbuilts front a-arms (upper & lower) on a factory 72 x-member & the 'mild' rear TA kit.

Not that SCOTI hasn't seen this truck first hand, but I can also verify this truck was not running a DM. The "perfect" setup IMO... Mild Rear matched with U/L tublar a-arms.

Hi Nate, Great products, I have a similar question for you that was asked buy nds1968,

Q. if using your upper shock crossmember, will the stock trailing arms lower shock location suit the new upper shock mount positions (63C10) I am intending to use bags,

Thanks darron UK,

Although we haven’t officially released the kit yet, here are some pics for those who might be interested. I will happily answer any questions that may arise. The complete kit will be offered at an introductory price (it will increase) of $1499 plus shipping for all forum members. The “complete kit” includes the following: Tubular adjustable trailing arm x-member (will need to specify one or two piece drive-shaft); tubular trailing arms; bolt-in two-piece c-notch; shock relocation kit (includes upper and lower shock bars, shocks (KYB), and all mounting brackets and hardware); fully adjustable panhard bar; air springs; and all necessary hardware to complete installation. I can break the kit up in pieces for those not wanting the whole thing, but there are some components that are designed to work in unison. I will also be releasing another variation that will work with factory trailing arms.

Hi, Do you have any customers who are using this product on the street that tow anything behind thier truck,
I would like this product, but i live in the UK an will be towing a caravan (15 feet long) 1500 kg and a nose wieght of 80kg.

Thanks darron
