Alpine Speakers Type R or S

Hey everybody, I was wanting to replace my tired Jensen 6x9s under my bench seat with some Alpines. How much of a difference is there between the type R and S? It will be run by a small Jensen amp. Thanks

I've never owned either of the 2 myself, but a buddy swears by the type r's comared to the s's. With everything stich686 listed, I'm sure the r's put off more of a quality sound.

Don't have any on me today, but I'll post some up tomorrow. Got them mounted under the seat.
