Need your Opinions

Need your opinions on my wheels.....I have a 71 4x4 burb, that I want to leave looking patina-ed, just antique looking, and wondered if I should have my stock steel rims powder-coated white before adding new tires? the rims are still somewhat white, but have usual surface rust here and there. I am not gonna redo the body paint, just metal work to get all rust out. Give me your opinions on the wheels if you have one. Thanks in advance!

Re: Need your Opinions

I would have them blasted and paint them bc/cc. Get ya a quart of each. Should be enough to get the job done. I have seen some powder coated wheels that the powder doesn't get into the creases in the corners and they end up rusting quickly there. If you get them blasted, you can paint them white and get in the tight corners, then you can clear them 4-5 times and have a good protective barrier. I would paint them for sure, to keep them from getting pitted with rust eventually from the road conditions. Trevor
