Hello - I presently have a 1972 Chev C20 with a small block and manual trans but thinking about a big block in the future. Is this transmission cross member actually different than a small version? I always thought they were the same. My friend has a set of big block engine mounts if I decide to make the switch. I might be interested in the cross member if it is actually necessary. If you could let me know, It would be appreciated.

The BBC, SBC and L-6 manual crossmembers are not the same. I've found that the BBC versions are pretty rare.
