86 k30 srw - salvage title. What's it worth?

Sorry if this is a tease, but am looking at this truck to replace my wrecked k20.
Salvage title due to rear hit, 100k miles, 454 AT. Truck is in CA but runs and drives.

Trying to guesstimate if I can get it cheap enough to make the $1200 freight back to Ohio worthwhile. In Oh the title will be reissued as Rebuilt once its made roadworthy and passes inspection, but title is always branded.

Looks to be a 2500-2800 truck to me, and thats being generous. Of course us Southern guys are spoiled since rust free trucks are pretty common.

yes, you are spoiled LOL

I keep trying to buy them down there but Craigslist has everyone convinced that out of state buyers are all scammers.

Few years ago I sold a rusty F350 on ebay to a guy up in Michigan. He was thrilled. "This is a lot nicer than we got back home"

The grass is always greener...

I passed on it, but I hate to say it sold for just over $1000!
By the time shipping, fees, and tax are paid it would have been a 25-2800 truck...so you're spot on.
