will I have issues traveling north with dismantled emissions systems?

I'm planing a trip from Florida through Charlotte, NC. I'm concerned about the strictness of the emission laws between Florida and North Carolina. I don't have an egr, carbon can, catalytic converters, a.i.r pumps. and various pieces. will i have any problem because I do have oil blow-by on start-up. that causes a little smoke.

You are talking about Nascar country!

There shouldn't be any issues. You might want to run straight pipes; otherwise the cops may think that you have something to hide.

Here in GA, only the Atlanta metro area has emission tests. Moreover, they only test 1987 and newer cars\trucks.

As far as I know emission laws only apply to registering and inspecting your vehicle in the city, county, and state you reside in. They shouldnt apply to traveling.

I feel much better about it now. The reason i was concerned was i have been pulled over for not having cats prior.

x2, Unless you do something else to get pulled over, you should be fine.

Go for it!! I did mine a few months ago since it's the first year the truck doesn't need to get the emissions checked.
