Question about AC evaporator box.

Hi! My name is Carlos and Im from Mexico. I have a 72 C10 (work in progress)

I know this site since I bought my truck 2 years ago but I have never posted anything.
I have a couple of questions for you guys:
Is the evaporator box sold new? If so, where?
I have seen an 80's truck evap box and looks similar to the one from 67-72's... Is there any chance to adapt it?

My truck has an A/C cab but the previous owner removed all the A/C system.
I dont know what to do! There are no parts for this trucks in Mexico and I cant find an evap box from this model in any junkyard ! Help!

Thanks

Re: Question about AC evaporator box.

Welcome Carlos! That's a good looking truck!
Have you considered installing a new system? You can get a replacement system from Vintage Air that will work better than the original system.

Re: Question about AC evaporator box.

. . . .

I bought my used cover from this site about a year ago.

If you put a "wanted-to-buy" ( WTB ) ad in the parts section - one will probably turn up.

Re: Question about AC evaporator box.

Only thing is that he'll have to be a site supporter to place that WTB ad.

Thanks!
I've seen those air system. But... I dont know... I have a brand new universal AC system that was sold by GM Mexico but I dont like how it looks the firewall cover, it looks kinda empty. You know? A mechanic told me that is possible to install the kit I have but with the original 67-72 evap box. I was thinking I could buy the evap box but I cant find it new anywhere.
