Re: help with ideas mod

Pro Topline heads are great heads and the XE274H cam is a decent little stick. Your valve size should be 2.02 and 1.60. You will need a new set of rockers as the slot in your stock rockers isnt long enough for the lift of the cam. I would suggest doing a 1.6 full roller rocker but 1.5 roller rockers are good to.

If you want to go faster you also need better gearing. This alone will make the biggest difference. If your truck is all stock it prob has 2:73 gears or 3:08s with that kind of gearing even if you have a strong engine grandmas Camry is still going to be tough to beat at the stoplight. Next you need a higher stall converter. And the shift kit. If your truck is a 700r4 also pair that with a corvette servo as well

And I agree but I have to first get the engine going so I can find out what kind of stall to get.same thing with the trans kit because then I can adjust the trans to the tire and power am making. But your right after am done with engine ill be asking you guys for gearing advise

You can't adjust the transmission like that. Only build it to handle more power. And only one way of finding out when it's not good enough. But yes once the engine is built then decide on the stall. But 3:55 and 3:73 gears with a posi are what you will be looking at
