Re: got me some buddy buckets

I wonder how many sets of those blue seats they made? The ones I bought were that color and it seems that I see a heck of a lot of them that are blue. They are surely not cheap to re-furbish,but are definitely worth it,Congratulations on your purchase

Yeah you did good, whether you know it or not you got them on the cheap. Since they have become worth more apart, I have been parting/piecing out this style of 67/8 bucket setups for awhile now and the last three bare frames alone brought $200. each, and yes thats stripped w/o the LH seat mounting adjuster tracks, or any of the RH seat/jumpseat-console mounting hardware. Pat your self on the back bro, you got an outstanding bargain. I paid $450 shipped and then spent enough to bring the total to $1600...

Re: got me some buddy buckets

Went to a ole junk yard that this old guy has in his back yard, I bought a tach cluster for 25.00 but a fellow got there before me and put down 20.00 buck for a very nice set of bucket buddy seats that didnt even need recovering, he said he would be back next weekend to pay the balance he owed. I ask the old guy what the balance was he said 15.00 bucks, my teeth bout fell out,,, atleast I got the tach cluster for the 69 survior truck.

Re: got me some buddy buckets

Was this recently? I'd go back soon in case the guy doesn't show back up....if he didn't have $20 or didn't come back immediately to pick them up for that insane price...he might not come back...

Maybe he didn't come back, myself I couldn't have left without the seats and would of had to dig in the glove box, console, ashtray and under the seats to paid the guy the last fifteen in coin. Mel

Re: got me some buddy buckets

You won't do any better than $250. That's a great price. I forked out $450 for mine 5-6 years ago and that was the going rate then, and now that's a great price. If I found a set for $35 I'd be smart enough to make it an immediate sale. I guess the guy only had $20 on him,but holy cow,I would have left enough collateral to assure the seller wasn't tempted by someone else's offer. I'd be right back ASAP for sure that day!

Re: got me some buddy buckets

Nobody will ever beat boardmember "Into69z" buddy bucket score. Looked just like those...paid $12.50 for them at the local pick n pull. They would have been a whopping $25.00, but it was 1/2 price day
