Last pictures of the season. 69 GMC

I took the GMC down to my in-laws for the winter because I only have a 1 car garage and the wife is partial to being able to park in it when it snows. I thought I would take some pics before it went into the machine shed. They live 45 minutes away from me and its the farthest I have driven the truck at one time and with 3.73's, sustained speeds or 55-70 mph and my exhaust dumping before the rear end it was a pretty loud ride. I had a smile the whole way down though. I drove the back roads and got to look at all of the fall colors at their peak.

It says River Bend Speed Shop. I have alot more lettering to do to it but didn't have the time. I want it to look like a full on parts runner/delivery truck of the era. Complete with era correct speed companies and logos on the box sides and other general business lettering.

Well Bud, I'm not quite ready to put mine away yet... I put the Red/White '70 in my uncles garage last winter so I will probably do the same this year. The Suburban will go in the neighbors machine shed.

I didn't want to put it away yet but with all of the yard work I have to do this time of year it is a hassle to keep moving it around.

It depends. Last winter was pretty mild. 2 years ago the snow started off with a 16" blizzard and then it seemed to snow about every two days. I don't have any winter tires for it and it seems to be very cold blooded. The truck will just be in the way because I only have a one car width drive and one car garage so it is a lot of car moving to get things situated.

If I lived in Texas it would still be on the road. I have family in Denton/Justin and my wife is from San Antonio.

I wouldn't know. Its not my garage. It is close to my house so I went and took a picture there. It is very cool though.

Probably not. I have a bunch of parts to throw at it but will end up waiting untill early spring to do it. It is 45 minutes from my house now so I won't make any special trips down to mess with it, and if my father in law needs something out of his machine shed It won't be tore apart and a hassle.
