I've got an email into the company regarding cost and fuel system and ignition dependencies. They look pretty cool, but I wonder about the cost and the amount of work that goes into installation.

it is fancy - Looks like an Inglese /Weber knockoff.
I doubt it will be "inexpensive" - include new fuel line routing, etc in your tally. I'd think it'd have to be a quite modified AND custom truck that this goes on to look right (for me anyway). Interested in hearing what you find out.

not really anything new there there are a few different manufacturers offering that fuel injection for quite a few years

Something cool to look at under the hood,no doubt,and a taste of retro you would have never seen in the average car in the day. More like on a Lola,Cheetah,Grand Sport Vette,etc. I see an expensive headache for a truck that gets driven much at all (kinda need an air filter for that)

There's a local truck running the "Inglese/Weber" system.It's all done in chroe/gold anodized and really pops.He drives it to quite a few cruises and shows but for a DD it would be a pain to keep clean.I don't how mpg or performance is but for an era style I would go with three dueces

I called the company and a receptionists tells me the guys who run the company are at SEMA through the weekend. She did not have a price list available, so, I'll have to wait to find out how much a system like this costs. A pretty penny, I'm sure. I'm looking at a my first build next spring. I'll probably be running Centerline Convo-Pro wheels in the front and back. I agree, a high dollar item like this would look good on a high dollar, high horsepower truck, but I also think a setup like this in the wrinkled black or a flat silver finish could look good my old turquoise patina truck with those street-strip wheels.

A few of you guys have mentioned it, so I'll ask; does anyone have any pictures of or sources for the three deuce carbureted systems? I'm currently set up to run an aluminum manifold with a Summit 600CFM carburetor and so at this point it is all vision!

I'll still report back on this thread when I've heard from the company.

Always amazes me the exotica value that seems to get attached to Webers by some companies. You can get manifolds in the $500 range for for Weber IDAs or Weber IDF pattern. There isn't a big difference between manifolds for Webers, it's kind of a shortest path to the port thing.

Weber IDAs can be gotten for anywhere from $500-700 for the same carb depending on the source. Delortos DRLAs and Weber IDFs can be gotten way cheaper in the $350 range but are a different flange. The eight stack appears to be a IDA setup, IDAs have the barrels further apart than IDFs.

As far as this look in fuel injection there are Individual Throttle Bodies (ITBs)paired and flanged for both IDA and IDF pattern Weber, and run in the $500-$700 range (remember for all these you need 4 of them) and then an ECU and all to control it. Point being you can get all the parts for this stuff yourself for about half what these companies are charging for turn-key setups.

It is exotic but not as exotic as it seems, remember these were used as the carb of choice for performance Beetles and Dune Buggies on VW engines for decades, and came as the factory carb on lots of high perform ace European cars. You have to synchronize everything like you do in motorcycles which is a bit of a foreign concept to the typical common plenum automotive setup, even triple deuce and dual quad setups use common plenums so synchronization isn't as critical as it is with one barrel per cylinder setups.

In my opinion there isn't much cooler than eight velocity stacks under the hood, except maybe 12. The EFI ITB setups seem like they have the potential for a fairly maintenance free version of that. I understand they are really snappy, with throttle response that makes the old 4 barrel setups seem like bad turbo lag.

I believe the tuning, or syncing of the carbs, stems from equal amounts of air to each carb, then hook up the linkage. I ran sidedraft strombergs and skinners union for years, so i have the tool. Nothing more then a ball floating in the airflow

Well I guess if we want to nit pick, I'm not so sure stacks on a small block really qualifies as "prestige" either, gear head porn? sure, prestige? mmm, probably not so much.

....and then let's throw it in an ol' pick 'em up truck and nip that there prestige thin' in the bud.
