You never know

You never know where you will see these trucks. I saw these today while working.

Re: You never know

Makes you wonder whats the story behind them. I like the blazer that would be sweet if you could pick them up cheap.

Re: You never know

I talked to the owner's brother and he said he would ask what he wanted for the K5 Blazer. I not really interested in the other trucks right now. I checked the blazer out and it seem fine except for the usual rust repairs, although I was not able to look underneath of it yesterday. He said the body was in really good shape when he parked it about 10 years ago. According to the brother it is not the orginal motor. Also, he said he did not have the title for it. Which may be a deal breaker. What is a good price to buy something like this for?

Re: You never know

This thread would be better served in the blazer section. Maybe a mod could move it.

Re: You never know

No I was only interested in the K5 so I did not take any of the other trucks. I believe they have two 68's longbeds and one 71/72 long bed. What are you interested in?

Re: You never know

Haven't had time to go back and check for tailgates. However, the guy did say he wasn't interested in selling just parts. Does anyone have any ideas of what the "worth" of the blazer is in its current condition? (No title so I would have to check on that) The guy priced it to me today for $1500 which seems crazy high. I was thinking the most I would pay is $500. The guy also priced the yellow '68 for $1000.

Re: You never know

As cheap as possible. $500? I assume its not running. You need to think about what you'll do with the body - getting it running will be the least of your worries. What do you want to do with it?

Re: You never know

To me, that's a parts truck. If there are parts there you really need, you might offer $500. Otherwise I'd walk away.

Re: You never know

I agree with the $500 mark. More pictures could change my thoughts (either up or down).

I love guys like this on the board. They prove that, if you've got the motivation, you can do almost anything.
