Crew cab on CL

He's selling it, the closest thing to a factory built four door crew cab I've ever seen!
He's got a build thread somewhere on here.
Couldn't build the truck for what he's selling it for!

This guy is local to me and that truck is gorgeous in person his fabrication skills are top notch. I've bought parts from him on a few occasions.

Re: Crew cab on CL

For $65K, I think I'd go to school to learn bodywork, buy all the tools I don't have yet, rent a garage, and build one myself.

Re: Crew cab on CL

I'm pretty sure I'd have money to spare, but that's probably a rare case. I wouldn't need to buy many tools, nor learn that much more than I already know. I've been a professional auto technician for 20 years. (I worked at a GM dealer for over 16 years)

That is an awsome rig! Only thing I would change is the color of the motor.

I've been in the professional auto repair business for 30 years now, first ten years in a body shop that also builds "open checkbook" customs that usually wind up in the 125k range, I've spent the last 20 years running a mechanical repair shop so I have a pretty decent skill set.

However......... I'm not so sure I could fabricate a 4th (left rear) door jamb that looks f-a-c-t-o-r-y.

$65,000 is a deal, if you commissioned someone to build it as well as Randall did you'd be well into six figures.

Here's his build thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=499490
