is anyone offering stainless steel or ceramic coated headers for our trucks? I have an old set of headman's that I painted with high temp vht paint, but not sure how that will hold up for any amount of time. I would like to keep the headers looking good (no rust) for as long as possible. I purchased my current headers out of the lmc magazine and they fit great, just looking for an upgrade

Sanderson, doug thorly and some that just make them custom.. hope your wallet is big enough they start around a grand about

Most of the large and medium header manufactures make them for our trucks and they come in a wide variety of prices. I've read hedman now makes them specifically for 67-72s. Hit a few web sites and check them out.

i got mine from early classic in fresno and i really like them but i did have to run a 'short' spark plug as they fit close to the block. they are ceramic, mid-length, coated on the inside also, and not too hard on the wallet (less than 4 bills).

OOPS! Stainless Works can make them but they want a lot of pennies for those. You know they will turn blue from the heat?

i like the hedmans because mine have been trouble free, except the look, which im really anal about. how much were these if you don't mind me asking? they look great by the way!!! I checked hedmans website yesterday and the stainless steel were 1800$ I think I did something wrong haha

I don't mind the bluing and what not, that looks somewhat natural, but I hate rust! rust is evil lol

is yours for a big block or small block? I see your name is 396ci. I need mine forf a small block application

Rust. It is the malignant growth that tries to turn our trucks back into the crushed rocks they were made from!

Doug Thorley Try Y headers since 1996, never had an issue except having to run shorty plugs.

Thanks for the compliments. Some guys don't want to pay $339 for headers, but I figured I can pay now and NEVER have to deal with them again. That's why I also went with a total Stainless Steel exhaust system and Stainless Steel Muffler (Hooker Aerochamber SS Mufflers), so I won't have to deal with my exhaust EVER! Those hoses are from a company called Coolflex. www.coolflex.com
You can buy other brands on ebay, but I went with Coolflex. They work Fantastic and reduce my heat. They are worth every dime.
