My 56 Build

The truck has always been known as the "Huff" truck. My grandfather Leslie Huff bought it brand new in 1956, its the only new car he ever bought. It has always been in the family. He stopped driving it in 1984 because it was in need of a lot of repairs and has been sitting ever since.
I am about to start the build, its going to take a while but that's ok.

I wish a had a nice place to tear it down but I don't. Going to happen in the back yard.
I have started my build list and my son is excited to help on the tear done and build.

That is real slick that it has been in your family since new.
Good luck on the build.

Re: My 56 Build

Thanks Guys,
I was born in 63 and I can remember as a very young boy riding in the truck with him. The family has been trying to find a picture of him with the truck.

I already know every thing I want to do. Just need more of that green stuff.

Re: My 56 Build

Very cool to have a truck with family history. Thanks for posting pics of her. The sheetmetal looks to be in good condition.

Re: My 56 Build

Since you have no place but your backyard to do the work, may I suggest one (or two) of those 10x20 carport tents sold at Costco?

Re: My 56 Build

I started a photobucket alblum just for the build.
I started tearing down the engine that I am going to use. Or should I say the block and crank, because thats all I am using from it.
