Brand New 1964 C10 from Lambrecht Chevrolet

Finally got time to post the build thread on this cream puff! Me, Yezzi and Delmo were lucky enough to make it out to this historic auction with the History Channel in tow. Although we have tons of stories and take aways from this epic weekend this is the one that means the most to me. I couldn't keep my eyes off this beauty! She stood out in all the pictures before the auction and in the field filled with bidders.

Here are some pics.....

BTW I am in need of a 63-64 230 6cyl original used radiator. Its not the standard size, she is the tiny one with core measurements of 17 3/8 x 18 1/2 . PM me if you have one laying around.

Mmmm.... I think I still have the OE unit out of my 64 build still sitting in storage if you cant find one closer to ya. I'm almost positive it's a OE/Harrison 2-core.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

If you get a second, please measure the core of the radiator. If its 17 x18 I will take it. If its 25" wide then it won't work.

Re: Brand New 1964 C10 from Lambrecht Chevrolet

Glad to see one of the Lambrecht trucks surface here on our board. I'm curious as heck to see how each of these unprecedented finds is treated. I saw that the guy with the Cameo was going leave that one as-is .. even dirty, I think. Hmm..
Clean-up only? Repair? Repaint? Restore? Drive it? Mothball it?
Wow, what a decision to make.
Sam, your previous collaborations with Delmo are well known (deservedly so), but I don't see this one going that way... or do I ?
Anyway, thanks for posting your truck. I hope more show up.
Subscribing for this one.

Thanks fellas. The pic with them lined up in the trees is courtesy of Cameron Glendenning, the history channel producer for the show. He was out there a few months earlier taking photos and video as well as interviewing the local folks.

Cool story about that pic, all the trucks had plastic on the seats, floor mat rolled up and wire tags on the floor shift levers. One of the local residents told me when they golfed next door, they would walk up to the edge of the brush to pee and thought for years there were only a handful of junk cars in there. No idea there were over 400 and some were new.

I never heard/read the 'why were they (the trucks) there' part of the story?

The vehicles were the unsold inventory of Lambrecht Chevrolet, which closed in 1996 after 50 years.
I still wanted the '64 Impala, but congrats and I can't wait to see this build.

I have one of these if you are still in need. No leaks. Sold the 230 to put in a Cadillac 500. I can send pics if interested.
