Door Panel screws
So I've noticed that some trucks have these screws and some don't.The ones that don't have them have a smooth trim.I have a 87 silverado and it has the screws why is that.

Re: Door Panel screws
My '83 has those and it at one time held some trim. It is factory as everything is in the door for them, and I have come across them in the autowreckers. Whatever they held on was brittle as I've only ever found a single door with something still attached with those screws.

Re: Door Panel screws
Seen them a lot on conversion vans and anything else that had been customized at a conversion place. Not factory.

I think it was a Dealer thing to help support the Panel mounts.

Re: Door Panel screws
Gotta be a TSB then for it. The screws are not standard hardware store hardware, ~5/16" diameter screw body with a small diameter phillips head and integrated cup washer, that mate with a tinnerman clip on the door.
