So I randomly sold my LS swap 70 the other day to a guy who wanted it more than me! I named my price and we agreed on a number and it was his. So then the search was on. I went to look at a truck that ATP had for sale, and of course checked out the barn find that Nate is getting. As much as I liked the green truck that he had, I had another to go see while I was up in Asheville.

I rode over to see the other truck at a pawn shop in weaverville. I didnt know what to expect as I had only seen pics on my phone and well I've owned a photogenic truck before!! As we started to look the truck over, I was impressed from the start. Solid rockers , door bottoms, corners and bed! I could tell the truck had been painted but it was taken apart and painted so I didn't mind. I'll share more pics as I go.

A lot has been done to the truck since I got it. Drove it for several months while collecting parts for the LS swap. First things first was a set of 20" boss 338's in black pearl. I ran across this finish on eBay and found a local guy who get it for me.

The inline 6 was using as much oil as fuel so the LS swap got moved up on the schedule. I also had a mishap one afternoon after I had filled the tank and parked for the day at work. The tank couldn't vent b/c of how I was parked and it dripped on the paint all day and ate the paint off under the full neck. I already had the LS motor but it was time to make the decision to put a Boyd efi tank in. I ordered my cam and circle d convertor and put them in at the same time

The 5.3 combo went smooth the second time! The first motor wasn't acting right and had some noises coming from bottom end. The junk yard was easy to work with to get it replaced quickly.

Nice looking stepper, the LS sure is the way to go, especially for you being used to doing it, well worth it.

I can't see putting money into the original motor when I can get power and fuel economy for the same money. It's only feasible since I can do the swap myself but if you had to pay someone or a shop it could get expensive. Thanks for the compliments.

More on the way , my air ride should be here in a couple weeks

Thank you sir! I didn't post much about the other truck. I tend to read more than I post, but trying to do more on this one. I'm currently working on a 5.3 swap in a 86 CJ 7 for a customer. Should have it driving next week.

Jesse I hope to have in complete in January before I get busy again with work. There a few other things I hope to do at the same time though.

Your truck will be sweet with the fleet bed! I've been keeping my eyes open for one. There's one on CL now but he wants a $1000
