The engine dyno'd in at 440hp at the crank, seems to have plenty pop Lol. Wilwoods on all fours, Strange 12 bolt w/343 gears, 4L60 trans w/2500 stall. Running 20x8.5 and 20x10. Lots more.....

Re: 62 Build

Yep I wanted something different for the battery location and putting it in the bed has been done hundreds of times. Works great and the battery switch is hidden in the frame.

Re: 62 Build

Chevhell, this is a really nice truck and a great job in such a short time. May I ask about your lowering specifics? Do you still have torsions?

Re: 62 Build

What intake? My mufflers have a 1x1 crossbar to hang from, just to take weight off rest of system.

Re: 62 Build

The truck has a Fatman front suspension with coil overs and the rear still has factory trailing arms with lowered springs. I had to notch the frame which was pretty tricky, I found nothing aftermarket for the pre 63 frames. I'll get some pics up on that as it turned out pretty sweet. My buddy stretched the rear wheel tubs 2 1/2 inches to accommodate the 10in wheel. I'll post some pics on those as well.

Re: 62 Build

Best investment in a motor build is a dyno hands down. Numbers don't lie.
