not too much further, I do have a couple more events lines up with some good companies and fun products. but, the axle we used ended up being too wide, so Nate over at porterbuilt swapped it out with an earlier camaro axle and while he was doing that he added some more crossmembers. ill post pics soon.

Re: One And Done. The Porterbuilt sponsored 1959 fleetside.

so after the party we realized that the axle wasn't going to work. Dino had recently purchased his new tow pig and wanted to test to out so he offered to bring my truck to porterbuilt to get the new axle swapped. so off to porterbuilt!

Nate took this cool photo of my truck hanging out with his collection

and just a few days later, he had it done in time for the pre show git down!

whats this? He added some goodies, like the rear most frame brace and another at the bottom of the notch. what a badass... he also smoothed all the welds on the notch. Porterbuilt is awesome!!

Re: One And Done. The Porterbuilt sponsored 1959 fleetside.

before and after of the axle fit

so close to the egde, it was rubbing pretty bad when aired out.

new axle in this shot, narrowed 1 1/2 inch on each side, much better!

Re: One And Done. The Porterbuilt sponsored 1959 fleetside.

Ill have to take some photos but just wanted to give an update. my truck is now at WCD Fabrication. its getting the steering column shortened, floor pans repaired, raised bed floor installed, fuel, brake and trans plumbing done, brake booster installed, body aligned.

I also purchased a 350/350 combo that is going to be built and tuned by Pic Motorsports soon. I'm keeping it clean and simple with some classic hotrod inspiration. Also have some unique exaust manifolds in the works.

after the bed is installed Im going to be using reclaimed wood with a twist to finish off the bed.

Ha! I had sort of given up on the forum.. Instagram has been so much easier to follow along builds with. I will update as soon as I can find time to upload all the pictures from my phone to the computer, and then from the computer to the server and then from the server to the forum... or follow me on instagram @_broey_
