The Merlin is truly iconic and impressive. Rolls has always been cutting edge in Aviation engines. I have spent 30+ years maintaining Rolls Spey and Tay engines. 4000 hours and or 10 years between shop visits is testimony to quality. Amazing stuff and still running 50 years later. 70 years for the Merlin.
