New member, found looking for parts!

Great site! Have a 1949 one ton flatbed, 1970 c20 and a 1970 c50 dump truck which I am looking for body parts. It's a dump truck I use for my roofing business, runs great but is starting to rust. Any leads would be great, thanks!

Best forum on the web IMO. Course you have to be a GM truck fan. Lots of nice folks, with integrity, lots of information, and lots of beautiful trucks.

Re: New member, found looking for parts!

Midwestern grain trucks- these would be good body donors. Usually low miles, usually stored inside and used only for harvest. Welcome to a great forum, Bruce

Got that right. Seems truck guys and integrity go hand in hand. Is ther a place on this site with parts for sale or do I just post looking for parts?

There is... scroll down on the main forum page to the classifieds. All separated by body style year.

You can't post a "Want To Buy" unless you are a "Premium" member. Click on the word "Subscribe" in the menu bar at the top of this page for the membership options.

Re: New member, found looking for parts!

Always brag on people's trucks or at least be positive. Most everyone's truck is in some state of rust (especially mine) and some do look downright crazy (talking about the drop crowd) so if you aren't a libertarian, pretend to be.

This site does amazingly well, I think because politics are left out. When emotions come into play, things generally go to Hades fast.

I am a libertarian by chance. Same breed of American who started and finished the revolution. Libertarianism isn't necessarily "bragging on" or placating people....it's more tolerance and agreeing to disagree....and hating authority.
Forgive me, I digress....

Yep. My "rust free truck" is not so rust free after all. Not sure the extent of it yet, but battery acid and RH fenders don't mix no matter what the conditions. There's a small hole in the bottom of that fender. Don't know if that's supposed to be there for drainage or it rusted through, but suspect it's the latter............It's coming off anyway, so will know more then.

Re: New member, found looking for parts!

I bite my tongue....alot... when I see what people do to thier trucks. Today I saw a mettallic pink GMC blazer type vehicle 69-72. crushed Velvet. dream catcher nets dandling from every where. the frame was chrome plated, the entire undercarrage was chrome plated Huge Moster mudders and suspension lifted this thing off the ground about 40 inches. beautiful in its own way and executed superbly and proffessionally. just not my cup of tea.

Thanks for sharing your political affiliations with us.
