Scored some 15x8 steelies

I was looking for a set for my 67 fire truck project. A guy answered my WTB ad on CL and he had these. Said they came off his '72 Jimmy back in the day. Now that I know what they're worth I may not let them go with that C10. Just sharing...

Nice find. I kept holding on to a set so I'd have them in the future, but finally sold my last set because I needed the money. Now I found the SWB GMC 6-lug frame with the rear I've always wanted to build a '68 off of

Good find. These wheels look so nice finished in white. I have a spare set myself. Always on the lookout for more.

I found a set of 4 nub ones with tires for $100 last weekend :-)

Discs are in the distant future for me. I drove 6 hours round trip for these. I was going to STL for the Rams game anyways though.

Are you going to powdercoat them or paint them?

I have been using Les Schwab for affordable powder coating. The coating looks great but steel shot gets wedged down in the space between the center and the hoop. Unavoidable they say with their process. It's OK for more common 15x6's but these 8's deserve better so I haven't decided what to do with them.
