Re: ´67 weekend driver

Check out the CPP sheetmetal perches and poly motor mounts, it's the combination I went with and I am very happy with it because they give extra clearance for headers and even clear GM LS exhaust manifolds, I'm not sure about the 5.7L GM vortec exhaust manifolds though.

Re: ´67 weekend driver

O had to Take a break because i had some problems w my back, after some weeks taking pills And injections the pain is gone!
I did some research and got infected with the "make it handle" tread virus...
And it changed the plans i had for my truck.

I have a l31 5.7 Vortec.
And a painless wiring for it.
But i changed my mind so i will put a 5.3 lm7 And the 4l60 i already have.
It was be cause my daily driver is a silverado 4.8l o like the power And mileage. My father has a 2005 silverado 5.3 And i love the feel of than engine.
His truck has 37000 original miles on the clock i hope o can convince him of sell me that truck i would not hesitate to Take out the 5.3 for my 67....

good news no motor..., i sold the 5.7 today and found a 5.3 out of a 2006 truck.
have to return the painless wiring and headers.

but finally will have a 5.3!
will wait for the 5.3 in order to mount the engine tranny before i start frame mods.

Another change... i got this Truck a month ago.
the previous owner swapped the original 5.3. to a 5.7 Ls from a camaro.
i liked how this truck performs and sounds...

so im thinking about take out this motor and install it in my 67 c-10
and install the 5.3 i have to the silverado..

my plan is to use the silverado as is for some time and then make the swap..
