You probably noticed that I ground a bevel into the frame as well for better weld penetration. My big brother welded it together for me both outside and in. Afterward I ground the welds smooth so I won't have interference when I replace the reinforcing plates. I painted it and reinstalled my shortened driveshaft. The Guys at Fort Worth Gear and Axle did a quick turnaround for what I thought was a reasonable price. I was lucky, the u-joint and carrier bearing were both good which saved me some cash.

Looking at it the cross members look goofy that close together but the front one will have the cab sitting on it so it won't be so obvious.
