Re: 1978 Russet Metallic 4x4

I can't begin to describe how much I like this K5

I have always LOVED the plaid interiors. It's very refreshing to see people taking the time to revive them (or accurately recreate them as you did) rather than pitching the seats and installing basic LMC-type covers or going with another type altogether.

I don't think SMC used to have the fabric in stock. Maybe they did and I just didn't ask the right questions. Oh well, making a thousand mile drive to get plaid seats in my trusty old Burb is a trip that will always be remembered.

I'm curious about the dash pad and door panels that you had refreshed. Does it look original around the screw holes in the door panels and does the dash pad have the correct looking center speaker opening?

I'm sure they still have some. Grab the fabric numbers off the picture from the first page of the thread and give them that info. They gave me the picture. Thanks for the compliments.

The recover of vinyl looks great. The speaker holes are there like it's supposed to be.

This is indeed a rad blazer. Good work on keeping it alive. My '77 has the mandarin orange interior also. Dig it.

Thanks brother. Still refining. I'm having a rear air deflector installed now. Then adding a CV driveshaft. Then a computer tune for the ramjet 350.
