Engine swap question

so I found an LT1 for sale and at a great price. It's a clean and running engine. I was looking to drop it into my 64 LWB step side. My question is - can this engine be dropped into this truck? If so, what modification are going to be needed? Can I also pull the intake off and use a carb intake? I'm not a fan of computer and electronics. I also have a 700r4, can you two marry up? Thanks in advance

Re: Engine swap question

The carb intake for the LT1 is expensive. Stick with the injection, it is reliable, makes lots of power, and is easy to wire. Yes, you can run the 700R4, but you will need a 93 Camaro throttle body to hook up the TV cable.
