Re: Dumptruck Dolly

I am pretty happy that Dolly got a facelift of sorts.

Re: Dumptruck Dolly

Found nice replacements at Champion for about $9 each. Dolly is not much for a lot of shiny parts, so I scuffed up the chrome, and shot some white on them, like the originals were.

Re: Dumptruck Dolly

I am going to put "dirt" tires on the rear wheels, as this is 2 wheel drive...the street tires may struggle up and down my hills...I found wheels and cleaned them up. I'll have to wait for good weather to get the epoxy primer on them.

Re: Dumptruck Dolly

Here are the tires going on the back. I'll run the street tires in front.

Re: Dumptruck Dolly

Wow! The weather has just been terrible! Rain for days on end. Finally found a day to get the painting accomplished on the wheels. Monday, I get the new tires mounted.

Re: Dumptruck Dolly

Check out this rusty crossmember holding up the carrier bearing. That will have to be taken care of next. Notice the lack of exhaust pipe. A new exhaust is on the way, and should arrive about July 19th.
