Re: 1966 C-10 build

More work on the horizon:

I am convinced to replace the junk yard special small block that came with the truck to a robust BIG BLOCK... would go with another small block but hey!!! A man needs big toys to play with.. LOL
Not quite sure what size yet but that will be governed by the over all price tag.
also looking at a complete front suspension change over to possibly coil overs. love the lowered stance but want to be able to drive her everywhere without issues. Air bags might still happen but I'd rather not and just go with coilOvers if possible. Next will be a new transmission with OverDrive.. really need to be able to run her over 55mph. she hit 60 a couple times this past weekend but she was screamin.

Re: 1966 C-10 build

Well the time has come... The ol' tired and worn out junkyard motor has got to go. I am actually gonna miss that old power plant for some reason. It was always a challenge that I just loved to make her run right. Oh well. Spent the last few weeks getting a good block, machine work, heads, rotating assembly, cam, intake and all the other fun parts to make a new one.. This weekend I will be in the back of the secret laboratory building a new mouse to put in the truck. Pics to come.
