Re: Antique Stores
Nice. My wife has drug me through many antique shops but don't recall seeing any of these. I'll have to pay more attention from now on.

I bought one of those red ones new in the last couple of years. Readily available for 15-20 bucks

Re: Antique Stores
Cool if the price is honest. I go into an antique shop in Poulsbo Wa every time I am over there and a couple of years ago they had a nearly new Harbor Freight 55 lb anvil sitting there with about a 150 buck price tag on it. Store owner about lost it when I showed him the page for it on my phone. They had picked it up at an estate sale thinking it was old.

Funny how if you know, you can find treasures, if you don't know, you pass them up and buy Harbor Freight tools. LOL My brother really knows vintage Buick parts, OMG he has bought stuff on ebay for a fraction of what it's worth! Brian

Re: Antique Stores
Once in a while you do depending on the buying habits of the "antique" store owner. The store I saw the HF Anvil in was what I would call a boutique antique store in that the majority of the items were very nice, collectible and somewhat high end. It is in the middle of the street in a tourist mecca area with lots of very high end gift and clothing shops. Same street I saw an original painting of an AD truck on that was something like 1500.00 Our favorite place to go with our boat and one of our favorite places to go in the car.

Re: Antique Stores
"Noveau" antiques are an old game by dishonest dealers. Passing off artifially rusty CHINESE well pumps, bells and other cast iron stuff off been going on forever. Worst ones are coin banks and toy trucks. Some take time to grind off "MADE IN CHINA" on castings.
