Transmission x member for 61 ideas

I planning on putting a th350 /350 in my 61 apache I’m looking for ideas/pictures how other members have built this x member, the truck originally had a 4 speed on the floor,I have installed a front x member from a 72 chev and I’m going to use the 72 motor mounts,it has 2 inch lowering springs and drop spindles,I’m pretty sure I will have to remove the original bellhousing mount that the old manual transmission was mounted on .and I’m also looking for ideas on front shock mounts with the setup I have going on,or even where to get shocks

I know its manual, but you can make one for auto out of tube. First one was box tube bolted to bottom of frame. See my build for more pics

Re: Transmission x member for 61 ideas

I made sure the linkage stuff clears, but I have not connected it up yet. I'm confident it will work, but my trans is also raised quite a bit for better driveline geometry at a very low ride height.
