Heater box help

Is it possible to remove the blend door from the heater box. My door gasket is in bad shape and I have another from a damaged box I would like to swap it with. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Heater box help

If it is anything like my 69 Camaro. You have to remove the box, and drill out the spot welds to install the new gasket.

Re: Heater box help

This thread has a bunch of info: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=460942

One of the postings says the blend door rod can be removed. Guessing once that is out, the door itself will come free. But I didn't go that far during my heater core replacement and repairing around a broken white plastic piece.

Thanks for the link. I was able to get the blend door off. Hopefully it's a lot easier to install it. Thanks for all the help
