DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
Anyone have photos of a 92-99 Suburban with DF2 camper mirrors? This appears to be the only mirror option available and am curious how these attached to the door. Single point of attachment or tripod style? I’ve searched for examples but not sure I’ve found the correct DF2s.
Maybe these? Special-Ks burb DF2s?

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
Yes, those are the factory mirrors. I'm not sure why it was equipped with them. It had no hitch till I put one on.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
Thanks guys for posting. Tim yours are the only ones I can find photos of. There are covers apparently where the base mirrors would mount. One of my 99 manual mirrors has cracked glass. Kicking the tires on adding a DF2 set.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
They still sell the mirror glass at Auto Zone. I think I paid $15.

I’d also like to see a set of OE roof markers lamps for an OBS pickup/burb.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
The mirrors you show look like they belong on something from the '70s. The mirrors I had on my '93 were carried over from the '80s. I swapped on power mirrors from a '98.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
I got a NOS piece of glass on the way but it's affixed to the backing for a power mechanism and mine are manual. I'll try to sweat that glass off with a heat gun.
I like the look of the DF2s on these a lot. You'd have to get the now discontinued plates to cover the door where the base mirrors attach.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
Here is my old '92 K3500 with both
Huh. I tried posting one of my own pictures showing it from the front to show both and I am being told it is an invalid file. Strange.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
Thanks for posting Tim. When I ordered my 2019 Suburban there were no options for mirrors let alone roof marker lamps.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
A little less offered over time it seems. I have a question on the newer Suburbans. First, no more 8-lug 2500s, right? What year was that discontinued? I'm considering trying to find a last year 8-lugger.

Re: DF2 Stainless Camper Mirror Option
If I recall correctly, 2013 was the last model year for 3/4t consumer market burbs. I believe these can still be had via special fleet order (and one tons) i.e. secret service trucks. I’m unsure what the interior of a 2013 looks like but can tell you the 2019 is far less utilitarian than the 99. No removable third row, no flat rear cargo area for example.
FWIW Here’s a 96 BB k2500 now on BAT - curious what final price will be: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-gmc-suburban-9/
