They make a repair panel that might fix that bad door.

Job well done!!!

I would fix that door before I would buy a repop. BTW are you selling the dash out of the take off cab.

A lot of people are looking for a radio patch panel to fix their dashes that have been cut up.

Flipping through the pages on this thread and am enjoying every post about your project truck. It’s going to be so nice when you finish with it, can’t wait to see more progress on it

Re: Field Find 69' C10 Project

The disc brake you shown looks fairly complete, with a reasonable price tag. Looks like it includes drop spindles as well. I went a different route with my brake conversion. I used 73-79 squarebody spindles from a salvage yard, over the counter parts store rotors, calipers and pads, along with brake hoses from the 73-79. All in for under $250

I also picked up the upper and lower control arms from the squarebody, installed new rubber bushings and balljoints, sand blast and painted them. Again used local over the counter parts store stuff. Upgraded the truck, all new tie rods, pitman and idler. Again, for under $250

Food for thought, I try to use stuff that is easy to replace for down the road, and support my local mom and pop parts store.

Re: Field Find 69' C10 Project

I have a 67 and 68, both LWB's 2WD. I have bought 71-71 parts for the conversion of both of them to disc brakes. THe stuff comes up for sale here...or can be had locally. I can buy replacement parts from parts stores to go with the salvage yard only stuff to rebuild both front ends completely. I'm not sure where my $$$ spent will fall. It will be a fair amount, not sure I will be at $2000.00 though...
