What seats work in 64-66 trucks?

I have a possibility to get a seat from a 1975 square body and wonder if it will work and look halfway like the original if I have it recovered to look like an original.

What seats work in our trucks? I have seen the mid 90's seats from the Suburban and Tahoe seats used, but I don't like the looks of them for my truck, I'm shooting for a more original look but not a 100% original restoration.

Someone stole my seat from my storage along with some other metal parts so I need to get a seat.

I put a squarebody seat in my first 65 way back when I was in high school. 25ish years ago. It fit and didn’t look out of place. The early bench seat out of the next generation trucks 88-? Fits very well as well. That’s what was in my current truck when I bought it.

The mounting brackets are different on the squarebody. I'm not sure how custom it gets to adapt the squarebody bench to stock brackets. A 67-72 seat is pretty much a bolt in. Won't be a folding seat from 69-72 though. Some of the squares don't fold forward either.

Thanks I have seen the 88 up bench seat in some trucks and have thought those might be an option

A folding seat vs a non folding seat I hadn't thought of that, but fortunately the gas tank is going to be under the bed so not much need to have it folding but if it did would be better I suppose for a little authenticity.

Oh you'll be putting things behind the seat.

Yup, I'd recommend trying to keep a folding seat in there so that you can put stuff behind the seat. If I ever move my tank, I'll be making something to hold tools, fluids, etc. behind the seat
