there is one place that sells p/w kits but forgot who, some people have modded and used p/w parts from later years in ours, 77 was first year for power doors on gm trucks, some car ones may work, caprices, etc of the 70;s, never know,,, may not take much effort to make work, sometimes is quicker to just rol down window mechanically than to find and hold down the damn power switch, and then never knwo when they will quit on you and then you are screwed, i personally dont favor power doors,.

good luck

Electric Life sells kits for these trucks, look to be well made.

I dont know of any brand names but make sure you get a quality brand and always remember you get what you pay for.

I got an inexpensive power door lock kit for my truck that would just lock both doors or unlock both doors any time you locked or unlocked the one of them. It lasted probably less than a month before the solenoids (sp?) seized, luckily in the open position. I had to completly remove the system just to be able to lock my truck and a hammer wasnt even enough persuasion to move the solenoids once they were out of the truck.

I used the Electric Life kit. Regulators bolt right in, its just a matter of removing the old ones and replace them with the power regulators. Easy swap. I got mine through Summit Racing.
